  • What is DECKX?
DECKX is a proprietary high performance, closed-cell, cross linked Polyethylene (PE/EVA) marine-grade foam decking product. DECKX is manufactured in dual layer (2-color) 6mm (1/4”) thickness. The surface has a “brushed” velvet-like finish that is extremely comfortable and aids in its high traction level, both wet or dry. This high performance material contains Ultraviolet inhibitors (UVI) and anti-microbial additives. DECKX utilizes a 3M™ marine-grade pressure sensitive acrylic adhesive (PSA) with an easy to use, peel-n-stick backing. DECKX is custom machined on our state of the art CNC equipment to your exact dimensions. Due to its closed cell formulation, it will not absorb water and is stain resistant, making it easy to clean and maintain.
  • How is DECKX installed to my boat?
The product is adhered to your boat using an advanced marine-grade, 3M™ pressure sensitive adhesive with an easy to use (peel-n-stick) backing.
  • How do I clean DECKX?
-DECKX is a stain resistant, closed-cell foam and is easily cleaned with mild soap, warm water and a medium stiffness brush. -Stains and dirt are easiest to remove if they are dealt with as soon as possible or before they dry. -General Cleaning tips: Use a mild all-purpose cleaner, mild dish soap or boat wash mixed with warm water. -Do an initial wet down of your deck before applying cleaning products. -Apply cleaning agent mixed with warm water from a bucket. -Lightly spread mixture with medium stiffness brush. -Allow cleaning mixture to sit for 3-5 minutes. -GENTLY scrub surface with MEDIUM stiffness brush in direction of graining/ texture. -Rinse thoroughly with clean water. -Repeat process as needed. -For deeper cleaning and stubborn areas, other cleaners that work well include: Spray-Nine. Hula Boat Care..."RAD Clean All & Protect" Starbrite deck cleaner. Formula 409. -Blood stains: Clean with warm water and bleach mixed at 1 part bleach to 10 parts water (1:10 ratio). -Oil, grease and sunscreen: Spot clean with a general purpose degreaser. -Do not use any acid based products or products designed for "hull cleaning". -Rust stains: Can be removed with a small amount of vinegar applied directly to the rust spot. Gently work in with gloved hand, rag or brush being careful to avoid vinegar/acid coming in direct contact with the edge of the decking /adhesive. Let sit 4 minutes and rinse well. Repeating if needed.
  • How do I care for DECKX?
-Always tend to stains and spills as soon as possible. -It is recommended to not store items like inflatable toys, floats or clear water bottles on the product while exposed to direct sunlight as this can also cause Light Amplification damage. The product should be kept away from reflective surfaces or from under glass. These objects can refract/reflect light, concentrating the sun’s light beams to a level which can be destructive to the product. -DECKX Marine is designed and engineered to be extremely durable in outdoor marine environments and is UV rated for temperature up to 175 degrees F. When not in use it is recommended that your boat be stored with a cover, garaged or kept under roof out of direct sunlight. Keeping your bimini top up will also help keep temperatures at lower levels. The material will last longer and have reduced color fade if stored out of the elements. Choosing a "lighter" color of decking will also help reduce the effects of the sun and lower overall surface temperatures.
  • How long can I expect DECKX to last?
DECKX can last 5-7 years under normal conditions and longer if your boat is covered, well maintained and kept out of the elements.
  • What is the warranty?
